China Successfully Launches Gaofen-11 03 Satellite
TAIYUAN, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) – China successfully launched the Gaofen-11 03 satellite on Saturday from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in Shanxi Province.
The satellite was carried by a Long March-4B rocket, which lifted off at 9:51 a.m. (Beijing Time). The satellite successfully entered its planned orbit.
Developed by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, Gaofen-11 03 will serve key purposes, including:
· Land surveys,
· City planning,
· Land rights confirmation,
· Road network design,
· Crop yield estimation, and
· Disaster prevention and mitigation.
This mission marks the 397th flight of the Long March series carrier rockets, further advancing China’s capabilities in satellite technology and remote sensing.
